The Student Guidance and Advising Unit, in collaboration with the Activities Unit at the College of Languages and Translation, organized an orientation session for newcomers’ male and female students on Tuesday, February 23, 2024. The session was attended by the Dean of the College, Deputy Deans, Department Heads, and faculty members

The session began with a warm welcome for the new students, aiming to prepare them for the new academic semester. One of the key objectives of the session was to acquaint the students to the university’s systems and regulations. This was followed by a brief overview of the academic plans for the Department of English and the Department of Translation. The importance of academic advisors was emphasized, highlighting their pivotal role in the students' university careers. It was also stressed that maintaining communication with their advisors is crucial for students to receive proper guidance, which is beneficial and advantageous for their academic progress
