Academic Advising Unit - College of Languages and Translation
Academic Advisory Unit
The academic advisory unit supports students academically by giving them instructions on how to deal with academic issues or any personal challenges that may hinder their academic performance. It also helps students improve their potentials and academic and professional achievement.
Students who receive academic advisory learn more than the academic courses that qualify them to graduate. As academic advisory includes, among others:
- Guidance related to students' selection of courses.
- Recommendations related to choosing their field of specialization according to their preference concerning future job.
Due to the importance of academic advisory, each student is directed to a supervisor, once he/ she joins the department. Each faculty member guides 15- 20 students.
Academic advisors can help students on other issues such as psychological, social and even personal by directing students to the person in charge or the unit concerned to receive proper guidance.
